Resolution is "special" in that the keyword used for the option has
a predefined format so that it can be used by an application to
generate raster print data at a usable resolution.  This is most
useful for providing transparent/blended output that cannot be
expressed using the PostScript language.

Yes, as do many other apps.  You probably want to report these bugs
to Microsoft and Apple, respectively...
