Default page size in shared printers [solved]

I solved the problem, nevertheless the solution is somewhat strange: the
problem was in the name of the shared printer. I called it "epson" and
this, somehow, conflicts with something.
Changing the name to anything else has the effect that in the client side
the default paper size is restored to the correct value (A4). Even the
name "Epson" works.

Is there a reason behind this, or is it a bug in cups?
