CUPS + Samba Versions

Hello all..

I'm trying to configure CUPS and Samba on an AIX machine to enable me to print to a remote printer on a Windows Network

CUPS version 1.2.7 and Samba Ver:2.2.8a are currently installed on the machine but not configured yet to enable remote printing to Win Network printer.

I'm confused and I'd like to know if it is worth resolving configuration of the current Samba+CUPS versions or to rather start trying to install the latest versions of both and go on from there.

Would be great if someone could help me out here..
