CUPS installation on HP-UX

Hello dear CUPS user,

My problem relates to the installation of CUPS on a HP-UX 10 client.

The main steps are : 1. ./configure
                     2. make
                     3. make install

The steps 1 and 2 are working fine but the 3rd step isnt working.
The installation produces the following error-message:

   "cp: illegal option -- d"
   "Usage:  cp [-f|-i] [-p] [-S] [-e warn|force|ignore] source_file       target_file
        cp [-f|-i] [-p] [-S] [-e warn|force|ignore] source_file ... target_direc"

I dont know what is going on here???
How can I resolve this problem. Can anyone help me, please???
