When I try to print from windows via cups driver a A3 landscape document with "Double-sided printing" mode set to "short edge" than CUPS ignores the settings and prints the dcoument the wrong way. The second side is upside down. This should only happen when it is set to "Long Edge (default)"

Maybe my response was not clear. Foomatic drivers (running on the
Linux system) will not work when printing from a Windows system
through Samba - the drivers do not use the normal way of passing
options embedded in PostScript print files, so they are not compatible
with the Windows or CUPS PostScript drivers.

In short, it won't work. Use a non-Foomatic driver to get things
working.
