cups does not show jobs in remote samba/lpr queue

Sorry, no.  The CUPS client apps do not understand the SMB or LPD
protocols (and I use the term loosely for LPD since the status format
was never defined and so cannot be reliably parsed...)

For SMB you can probably use smbclient.
