Cannot print on a networked iMAC

Sorry I didn't respond right away -- out of town for three weeks.
The iMac IS the print server -- my Linux box CUPS page shows the iMacs printers, claims they are available and enabled; the iMac claims the printers are published, but Linux box asserts "Server Unavailable."
