[cups.general] lpstat -v shows device as /dev/null

I have a mixture of cups-1.1.22 (CentOS 4.7) and cups-1.2.4 (CentOS 5.2);
mix of i686 and x86_64. An lpstat -v on a CentOS 5 client system always
shows /dev/null as the device for printers served from another CentOS 5
box, as in:
device for <print-queue>: ///dev/null
while printers served from CentOS 4 show the proper device (ipp://...).
The proper devices are displayed from a CentOS 4 client, whether the
server is 4 or 5. I'm curious as to why this is; the print queues work
fine, nonetheless.
