Installing Scanner/Copier of LX1100 Series

> I'm an absolute "newbie" (68 yr. old) to the Ubuntu (8.04) & CUPS worlds. With a lot of Ubuntu Forum help (mostly through the generosity of member "gvigorus"), I have finally succeeded in installing and printing my first Test Page on my Lexmark X1150 All-In-One (Trio) Printer.
> Now I have a new, but related problem. How do I get the Scanner/Copier functions recognized and installed? Is CUPS the correct database for this information? Please help! I need VERY specific (command lines?) information, as I am literally a babe in the woods, as regards Linux.
