Hey I do hit a lick once in a while.  As for your newbie remark, I've got 6 
years seniority on you.  My computer experience goes back into the later 
70's, and has never included a detour to windows.  I've been a linux user 
since about Red Hat 5.1.  That, and some wood working since I'm partially 
retired now, keeps me out of the bars.  Partially cuz I'm still doing 
maintenance one night a week on a tv transmitter.  Tv engineering has been my 
living since the early 60's.
