CUPS EPL2 driver for Zebra printer - label edge sensing?

Not sure if this is the most appropriate forum but perhaps someone can help?

>From an iMac (Intel, Leopard 10.5.5) I can print OK to a Zebra TLP3842 300dpi label printer using the CUPS EPL2 driver that comes with Leopard but the printer doesn't appear to be recognising the 'label edge' so the print isn't always centered on the label. Although there are printer settings for 'Resolution', 'Media type', 'Darkness' & 'Print rate' I can't find one for 'Edge sensing', e.g. 'continuous', 'black line', 'reflective', etc. Does this driver provide such options? Strange thing is I'm sure when I first set the printer up with this driver I was able to change such 'edge sensing' options but now I can't?!
