Dear Michael

Appreciate your reply & your work on CUPS.

Don't know about the specific differences between ZPL or EPL but the Windows XP EPL driver does allow media sensing - continuous, transparent or mark - and the labels are detected and printed correctly (downloaded and tested this driver on my XP partition on my iMac). The present label roll is being sensed correctly using the transparent setting with the Windows driver. I can't see how without a media sensing setting the CUPS EPL2 driver could be used to print on small labels that need to aligned accurately to the printhead.

Thanks.
