Perhaps you could post a small sample file which exhibits the flaws for me
to look into.
I have several filters to fix DSC incompatibilities for print jobs from 
dvips, fig, openoffice, windows. Most of them are not yet published
at www.cups.org, but I could mail you the needed one.
