[cups.general] lpadmin: Bad device-uri

Greetings,

I'm stuck, could someone please help?  I get this error on RHEL 5.3:

# /usr/sbin/lpadmin -p aPDFprinter -v pdf:/tmp# /usr/sbin/lpadmin -p 
aPDFprinter -v pdf:/tmp
lpadmin: Bad device-uri "pdf:/tmp#"!

# ls -la /usr/lib/cups/backend/pdf
-rwx------ 1 root root 2343 Aug 24 15:15 /usr/lib/cups/backend/pdf

# cups-config --version  (it's just the standard cups rpm for this RHEL)
1.3.7
