[cups.general] Getting job state from the command line?

Is that a new thing.  My lpstat -l -o doesn't give me the status.  It  
appears to be a version thing.  I'm using 1.2.7 on debian, but 1.3.8  
on OSX does.  Guess I need to upgrade.
