[cups.general] DL sized document prints as though it is meant to be A4.

Try using the "fitplot" option when printing from the command-line -  
that tells
the standard CUPS pdftops filter to force the size you specify.

Also, make sure that "lpoptions -p ml3050 -l" lists "DL" as a PageSize.
