BrowsePoll feature regression?

Hi there!

I ve'got two cups boxes on my LAN. Box A is the primary print server, all client PC's have a client.conf with "ServerName A". Box B has a parallel connection to a laser writer.

Earlier this year the boxes where running Debian Etch (Cups 1.2.7); Server A had in cupsd.conf a "BroswePoll B" - so all clients could use the Printer on Box B. The nice thing was:
1.) it was not necessary on Server A to manually add the printer
2.) When Box B was offline the clients did not see the corresponding laser writer, hence the users did not wonder why it would not work.

The I upgraded from Etch to Lenny and with that Cusp to version 1.3.8. The clients still can see the printer but are unable to print to it bc/ cups on Server A tells me "Printer State: idle, accepting jobs, not published."; Printing fails with "client-error-not-authorized".

So, is this behavior a deliberate feature regression or a Bug?

Cheers,
Sigmund
