[cups.general] CUPS 1.4rc1: 'lpoptions -l' reports wrong defaults

possibly related to

I have another strange effect in CUPS 1.4rc1 regarding
what 'lpoptions -l' reports as default versus what
the actual default is in the PPD file.

I did a cupsd restart but 'lpoptions -l' somehow insists
to report another default than what actually is in the PPD:

root at host# egrep '^\*DefaultPa|^\*DefaultImageableArea' \
            /etc/cups/ppd/hplaserjet1220ps.ppd
*DefaultPageSize: A4
*DefaultPageRegion: A4
*DefaultImageableArea: A4
*DefaultPaperDimension: A4

root at host# lpoptions -p hplaserjet1220ps -l | grep PageSize
PageSize/Media Size: *Letter ... A4 ...


I have no idea wherefrom 'lpoptions -l' gets this 'Letter'
default value:

root at host# find ~ | egrep -i 'cups|lpoptions'
root at host#

root at host# find /etc/cups | xargs grep -l 'Letter'
/etc/cups/ppd/hplaserjet1220ps.ppd

root at host# find /var/cache/cups/ | xargs grep -l 'Letter'
root at host#


Should I file another STR or do I misunderstand something here?
