Printing of chinse char gets garbaged

Hello

I m using RHEL 4 (customized o.s.)

I have following version of cups on my system.

cups-libs-1.1.22-0.rc1.9.27.el4_7.5
libgnomecups-0.1.12-5
cups-1.1.22-0.rc1.9.27.el4_7.5

I have set printer (JetLesser Printer) for chinse language.

when I print a file which contains chinse char using lp or lpr command,
I get print page but chinese character gets garbaged

Similarly I got same problem for korean language

any idea or tips will be highly appreciated.
