[cups.general] cups patch to use STDIN instead of (stdin) for job name: still needed?

Hi,

I'm cleaning up Mandriva's cups package. For a long time, Mandriva had this
patch [1] which makes cups use STDIN instead of (stdin) when printing from 
standard input with lp or lpr. Apparently, this would have caused problems 
when printing to a printer on a Windows server via Samba.

Do you know whether such a patch would still be needed and useful for 
integration upstream?
