You didn't specify what platform or version of CUPS, so I'll guess you  
are running on Mac OS X?

The MaxCopies value is configurable in cupsd.conf; the default is 100  
on older CUPS releases and higher in 1.3 and beyond (to match the Mac  
OS X GUI limits...)
