[cups.general] Win-smb rpm install errors

Hi,

I am having the following error, in trying to install the Win rpm to 
setup samba.  I get the following error:

linus:/~/Desktop
johnpipe:$ rpm -i --test cups-windows-6.0-1.i386.rpm
error: cannot open Providename index using db3 - No such file or 
directory (2)
error: Failed dependencies:
         cups >= 1:1.2 is needed by cups-windows-6.0-1

My cups version is 1.2.6, on a Vector LInux 5.8 install (VL5.8 default)

johnpipe:$ uname -a
Linux linus.inet 2.6.18.5 #2 SMP PREEMPT Sat Dec 9 19:01:25 MST 2006 
i586 k6-2 i386 GNU/Linux

I am not clear on the meaning of the error on db3, and why the cups 
version is not correctly identified?
