Problem with CUPS and Open Office

Hi All,

    Greetings...
I developed a CUPS based filter for our thermal printers. When i test my filter with OpenOffice i can able to  print but the problem is  when i try to set the printer setting  using Open Office Printer Setting wizard -> properties -> Device tab. Those changes are not taking effect? Why it so? But if i try to set the printer properties through CUPS Admin its working file.  Could you please guide me to solve this issue?

Operating System     – Fedora Core 8.0
CUPS Version         – cups-1.3.7-4.fc8
OpenOffice Version   – openoffice.org-writer-2.3.0-6.15.fc8
