Early experience with CUPS 1.3.10

I added the following lines in my cupsd.conf file
PreserveJobFiles Off
AutoPurgeJobs Yes
then deleted the contents of the cups spool directories.

My cpu usage is now under 1-2%.  I tried accessing all of the web pages, printing a test page from the web interface (successful) and printing a page from a remote xp computer (still does not work).
None of these things increased cpu usage, so I think that problem is resolved.  I am sill lost as of why jobs sent from a xp maching show up in the queue, but never print.

I would really appreciate any ideas.
