PCL printing failure Red Hat Linux

I'm having trouble getting PCL print files to print correctly on Red Hat Linux. No matter what driver I use to set up the printer the only output I'm getting from the printer is the first line of the PCL file, followed by multiple blank pages. I've killed many trees trying to get this to work and have made no progress, so I'm hoping someone out there can has seen this before and knows which switch to throw to get this printing to work.

Here's what I've got:

U2 Unidata running on Red Hat Linux
Ricoh MP3500 printer connected via network port
Print command being used: #lpr -P <printer> <filename>
CUPS 1.3.7

I do not have a Ricoh MP3500 specific driver available, so I've tried each of the generic PCL 5c drivers available on my CUPS installation, along with some other Ricoh drivers. I've tried configuring the printer as an JetDirect printer, an IPP printer and an LPD printer. It doesn't seem to matter what combination of printer setup, print file and/or driver I use, the result is the same in every case. One formatted line of text followed by 5 blank pages.

Anyone have any ideas?
