CUPS isnt using color and black cartridges

Well, the problem is as I describe as subject. When Im working with a document, I have set the printer to print in Draft mode using color cartridge, and setting printout mode as draft, color, black + color cartridge; but when I print, the printer only use the color cartridge, and my document seems like the black cartridge was not used. How I can fix it? Anybody was experimenting the same problem? Thanks a lot.
