Spool to Lexmark m412 crashes on large images

First, two questions:

  * Which 'driver' are you using?
       (this is determined by the PPD file which you find in
        /etc/cups/ppd/<printername>.ppd -- grep for all lines
        containing the "cupsFilter" keyword)

  * How is your Lexmark connected to the CUPS print server?
       ("lpstat -v" will output the 'backend' and its 'device URI',
       as it's called in CUPS-land.)
