[STR New]

Well, this is a curious thing I've encountered via an upgrade to Debian
Squeeze at home and at work. Printing from applications like Firefox (or
Iceweasel) or OpenOffice.org (version 3.1 and 3.2) works perfectly. When
I'm trying to print from GNOME applications like evince or gedit, nothing
happens except a error message in error_log. This is the main reason, why
I'm posting the bug here. The error is always:
E [29/Mar/2010:10:53:24 +0200] cupsdReadClient: 14 IPP Read Error!
E [29/Mar/2010:10:54:59 +0200] [cups-driverd] Bad driver information file
"/usr/share/cups/drv/sample.drv"!
E [29/Mar/2010:10:55:01 +0200] [cups-driverd] Bad driver information file
"/usr/share/cups/drv/sample.drv"!

This happens on printers connected via USB (an Epson Stylus DX6000 at
home) and networkprinters like HP Laserjet p3005dn. All printers worked
well with former versions of cups (1.2.7 an further). I've searched
various forums and found people with similar problems, but no solutions. I
am mighty puzzled, since I don't even have an idea, where to start my
search for fixing the problem. The used PPD files have worked so far.

Thanks

Thomas
