No Admin Login as user

Thanks for letting me in.

I've got a problem with CUPS 1.4.3 and Mint KDE 9.

Specifically, I start CUPS and click on "CUPS for Administrators" then any button that allows changing anything such as Edit, Add, & Config and absolutely nothing happens. The button shows the click but no admin login.

Since I installed Mint KDE 9 in early August, I am unable to access the admin login from the web interface.

I have checked numerous forums and manuals but I have not been able to generate the login message box unless I start Firefox3.6 as root then I have no problems.

I have checked that my user is a member of lpadmin. I have done some work with the shadow group. Can't remember everything that I tried.

I purged CUPS and reinstalled, still the same.

I copied my /etc/cups directory from my backup Mint KDE 8 (CUPS 1.4.2) and now my Laserjet 4p works but I cannot change anything because I cannot access the admin login.

Please. Any Help?
