Need Help w/ Intel NetportExpress 10/100

We have an Epson LQ 300 Plus that we are trying to print to that is on LPT2.

We have tried several options with no success.  The primary option was to set it up as LPD and use a Epson LQ 300 Plus ppd driver.  But is just prints 4 lines of the @ code in LPT2_TEXT, and nothing with LPT2_PASSTHRU.  Printers.conf shows it as LPD://172.23.10.55/LPT2_TEXT.  The NetportExpress is accessible via telnet to port 3002 and I can also ftp to it.

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
