HL5350 and Kyo1100N printing very slow with manufacturer PPD-file

Hi,
why are modern laser printers HL5350DN and Kyocera 1100N very slow with
printing images (scanned documents black/white 200KByte) on A4 paper
sheets using the PPD-file delivered by manufacturer on CD? - It lasts
about one minute per sheet.

Using the HP laserjet5e-PPD-file for HL5350DN the printer processing
time is about 5 to 10 seconds only. Using the HP-PPD for Kyocera 1100N
then nothing is printed, the job is delivered to the printer and the
printer discards the job. Tested with PCL and KPDL-emulation set in
Kyocera 1100N Web-interface.

Using cups 1.2.21  (Suse 9.2)  and 1.2.23  (Suse 10.1)
