Can't get printers to accept "Raw"

Hello, first time on this forum. I have a 10.6.2 OSX server that is running on an Mac Pro. It's only use is to control print queues in the fashion, using the hold-indefinitely command, of a release station for prints. The clients are pointed to the server. Right now I'm having issues with prints larger than letter size in that they become very enlarged (basically 4x their size) and print 1/4 of image per page. Both the clients and server are running the same ppd's. I was informed that this is probably the issue and setting the server side to "Raw" might resolve the issue. I've tried to set the printers to "Raw" via localhost:631/administration/modify printer, but when I choose "Raw" and click continue it just stays as the manufactures PPD.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
