I'm probably doing something stupid, but I haven't been able to find an answer in the man pages Google, or this website.

When I run this:

# lpoptions -p Brother-HL-2040

I get this output:

auth-info-required=none copies=1 device-uri=socket://monprintserv1:9100 finishings=3 job-hold-until=no-hold job-priority=50 job-sheets=none,none marker-change-time=0 media=true number-up=1 printer-commands=AutoConfigure,Clean,PrintSelfTestPage printer-info=Brother-HL-2040 printer-is-accepting-jobs=true printer-is-shared=true printer-location='Mon Room' printer-make-and-model='Brother HL-2060 Foomatic/hpijs-pcl5e (recommended)' printer-state=3 printer-state-change-time=1266621145 printer-state-reasons=none printer-type=8564756 printer-uri-supported=ipp://localhost:631/printers/Brother-HL-2040 sides=one-sided

When I run this:

# lpoptions -p Brother-HL-2040 -o copies

I expect to get something like "1" or copies="1". Instead I get no output. Any advice?
