4 second delay after upgrade

Hi,

This is already documented in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=590281 but I thought I might have more luck here.

Full description in the link, but basically after the upgrade, it consistently takes 4 seconds from starting a print job, to it commencing.

There is an error log which might be useful, attached to the above link.

The upgrade described (Debian lenny->squeeze) is equivalent to CUPS upgrade 1.3.8->1.4.4.

Please let me know if you need any more information in order to help me debug this.
