I used to check www.linuxprinting.org which is like the main Linux printing 
site.  Now I can't find my printer any longer (something changed there).

Anyway, you shouldn't have any problems with these kind of printers nowadays. 
Just do a Google search using your model and Linux.  Besides, of course, 
checking out the reviews for the printer itself via Amazon, NewEgg etc...

No. I just looked at it and it's very similar to the one I currently have.  I 
used to have an HP Laserjet 4 Plus (for 14 years) until I changed it for the 
Xerox.  The installation, configuration...everything went so smooth here with 
Fedora.
