Printing PDF with 2D barcode

Hello list, I have various PDF's with text, images and barcodes (3 of 9, 128, PDF417(2d barcode)) etc.

They all print fine except the one with the 2D PDF417 barcode. If I open the PDF with the 2d barcode in Adobe Reader and print it manually, it prints fine, but printing through CUPS messes it up.

I would appreciate any pointers/input.  Thanks!

Environment: SuSE 10.3, CUPS 1.4.3 with HP and Lexmark Printers
