[cups.general] system command in CUPS USB Backend

>> i want to pop up a error report on a user interface error dialog window.For that i am calling "zenity"  an utility based on GTK,from "system()" command .But it failed to display that one please guide me to resolve this problem.If any other method is there guide me please.
