[cups.general] Bad request line.

I am trying to print a file to a printer which has a print queue defined
in cups.

I get the following in the error_log and it doesn't print.  Any
suggestions of what it might be would be helpful.  The cups gui shows
pages unknown, state aborted and size 0k.
