How do you "stop" a cups queue? from command line

Seems that cupsenable and cupsdisable is what I wanted. Something simple
in the FAQ like: cupsenable is the same as lpc start, and cupsdisable is
the same as lpc stop, along with other "if your used to lpd" commands.
