per page tray selection

I've seen pipitas response to "Re: Print Single PDF Page on Multiple Page Colors / Trays" ... lots of good info.

However, in that example, the result still creates multiple jobs. In my request for assistance below, I have a slightly stricter need. I actually have a book binding attachment on the printer I am sending to. Book binding only functions if called on a single job. However the book has 2 to 3 different paper requirements. I am able to make this happen with a windows postscript driver... is it possible under cups?
