samsung ml1710P driver problem

hi, I'm working with Ubuntu 10.10 and I have a problem with a samsung ml1710P printer drivers.
I found linux drivers on the samsung website (http://driverscollection.com/?H=ML-1710P&By=Samsung&SS=Linux) but I cannot install them because of the following error:


molo3 at molo3-P5K:~/Documenti/cdroot/Linux$ sudo sh  ./install.sh
./install.sh: 1232: source: not found
ERROR: HARDWARE_PLATFORM undefined, execution aborted

I've also read on the manual that <<Unified Linux Driver package depends on printer and scanner services provided by Common Unix Printing System>>
so I looked on this website but there is nothing for my printer.
what should I do?
