Perpetually 'Pending' job

Something I don't recall seeing before (with CUPS 1.4.4): a job which is perpetually marked as 'Pending' in the Web display, with 'Hold job', 'Cancel job' and 'Move job' buttons next to it. Other documents sent to the queue just print as usual!

I've tried 'Hold job'-ing it and then 'Resume job'-ing it, and I have also tried 'Pause printer' and then 'Resume printer'. I don't want to try 'Move job', as then the user won't be able to find the printed output.

Any ideas?
