lp -P outputs correct number of sheets but only first one contains print

Hi all.
Trying to print a page range and the command
lp -d myprinter -P1-10 myfile.pdf
correctly sends 10 pages through the printer, but only the first page contains any printing.

I've also tried
lp -o page-ranges=1-10
with the same result.

This has in the past worked on a different pdf...

Any ideas?
