[cups.general] Can I use /var/spool/cups as a hot-drop (watched) folder for PDFs?

Sorry, no.  Aside from not having permission to mess with /var/spool/cups, that directory is managed by cupsd...

The "lp" and "lpr" commands are the usual way of submitting a file for printing.
