[cups.general] tiled printing

Any way to do tiled printing of a large pdf file (320x1000 mm) to an A4 
printer within CUPS ?

(CUPS 1.2.7 under Suse linux 11.3 - bundled acrobat reader 9,4,1 has NO 
tiled printing, and same also for okular and xpdf )
