[cups.general] gui interface listen 631 isn’t paying attention. fixed.

Ok. It was config file.
This line was in the file at very bottom:
Listen 127.0.0.1:631

but this was not:
Listen 10.1.1.7:631

I added the missing Listen and restarted. I had not modified this file and the interface did work prior to it not working. Strange. I’m just glad it works now!

The interface has worked just find before – I can’t remember the last time I used it but never had any problems.  I don’t know how it was installed because the person that installed and maintained is no longer here, but I’d bet it was the binary package.

I’m running 1.1.22 of cups (I think that is the version).
Red Hat Linux 4
No changes to cupsd.conf
Using our server ip:631 to connect

What version of CUPS?

What operating system/Linux distribution?

Did you compile from source or are you using a binary package?

Have you made any changes to cupsd.conf?

What URL are you using to access the web interface?

A netstat –tnlp reveals that there is active connection tcp for cupsd and the cupsd.conf has the correct listen statement according to docs.
I have absolutely no clue as to what to look for next to figure out what the problem might be.  Can someone point me to the next step?
