[cups.general] CUPS pauses between jobs

I think you may be seeing one the following issues:

     http://cups.org/str.php?L3180
     http://cups.org/str.php?L3623
     (which is a duplicate of http://cups.org/str.php?L3495)


According to STR #3495, this behavior was changed in CUPS 1.5.
