CUPS-LPD no duplex, IPP duplex

Attempting to setup a cups server with 100 printers on campus. Need to be able to print duplex. Duplex options are availiable, the driver supports it for an HP3035.

When printing from my Windows 7 box it will print duplex. When issuing an lp -d it-hp3035-01 -o sides=two-sides-long-edge test.txt from the box hosting the CUPS server it does not print dulpex.

Any ideas?
