Help in stopping backend from sending the printed file to the printer

I would to know if it's possible to stop the cups Backend from sending the printed file to the printer and get the information of that file (number of copies, user who printed the file and file name). It's possible to get more informations on the following commands smbcupsadd? Can I If it's possible how to I do that. I am coding in Linux command line.
