[STR New]

Since 1.4.7, several Arch Linux users have been seeing crashes in
network-related backends - socket in my case, lpd in at least one other. I
first reported this to the Arch distro-specific bug tracker, where I was
told that it was unlikely to be a packaging issue, so I should report it
here instead.

I'm able to trigger this with a newly-added printer, and with the
CUPS-generated self-test page.

The Arch bug report is at: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/25204

The Arch forum thread where others began discussing this is at:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=122482

My own error_log is attached.
